Cosmic Birla Group envisions a joint revenue of Rs 8,000 crore by 2030

By 2030, City-based Cosmic Birla Group, involved in manufacturing, automotive and real estate businesses, sights on a group turnover of ₹ 8,000 crores, solely on the grounds of its super-scaling organic growth and inorganic expansion.

Aditya Vikram Birla, Chairman and Managing Director of Cosmic Birla Group, told The Telegraph on Friday, “In total, there are 22 group companies, and the reported group turnover last year was ₹ 1,522 crore. The goal is to reach ₹6,000 crore by 2028 and ₹8,000 crore by 2030. It will all depend on the inorganic expansion that we are planning”.

The Group has also held a reservoir capital expenditure of Rs 1,200 crore by 2027, out of which, some investments have already been initiated. These funds would be used towards supporting capacity expansion in Bengal, an inorganic acquisition of a wagon company through the NCLT route by the Group’s listed entity, Cosmic CRF, to build the company’s presence in Chandigarh and Rajasthan. Some of it would be invested in expanding the presence of the Group’s automotive arm — Cosmic Raft EV, in Uttar Pradesh.

We are investing ₹250 crore in a high-capacity casting plant at Barjora in Bengal and have also acquired around 10 acres of land through DRT auction. In addition, we are looking to set up a casting plant with a capacity of 25,000 metric tonnes of finished castings annually, accommodating both the Railways and the Defence sectors,” said Birla. “This plant is expected to become operational by the first quarter of FY 2027 and will create direct and indirect employment for over 500 people”.
